Three Cats Birthday Card

A recent birthday card using a squeeze design.

I love the detail in the detail, even down to the flowers and the patterns on the cushion and plant pots :D

The cats faces are so sweet too

I used a Marianne Flora and Swirl cutting die to make the embellishment.

Simple card, though I think still very pretty

This card was entered in the Fussy & Fancy Furry Friends Challenge

Snow White Wolf Christmas Card

This is a topper from a Debbi Moore craft CD

I had not used this topper before, so was nice to get chance to use it.

The topper is quite pale, and the detail of the castle in the scene behind the wolf isnt clear in this photo. It looks frosty though, makes for a lovely festive card.

I used different backing papers to decorate this card, kept it quite simple

My last festive card for 2012 :D

Wishing all my Blog Followers are lovely Christmas and Happy New Year

22 December 2012

Winter Horses Christmas Card

I used a Glynn Williams design from a Joanna Sheen craft CD to make this card

I had not used this design before, I love the wintery feel to it. The colours in the design work well with bronze and create too.

I used a holly embossing panel to decorate the layers.
And swirls and punches for the embellishment.

I have so enjoyed making my christmas cards this year.  And I think that has also got a lot to do with using cutting dies and embossing folders.
Hope to get more for next year.

19 December 2012

Christmas Berries Card

This card was made using a Jayne Netley Mayhew design from a Joanna Sheen craft CD

Its a topper I had yet to use, and decided to use it just as a one layer topper.  Lovely detail and colour in the artwork.

I used printed velumn for covering this card for a change

I like Jayne's animal artwork and generally use that more than her floral artwork.

Terrier Dog Topper - Free Art

A lovely topper for dog lovers.  I'm an animal lover and really dont make enough cards in the theme

Victorian Christmas House

Been looking through my Thomas Kinkade Craft CD and using toppers that I had yet to use.

This is a lovely scene, old wordly, and very festive.

I used a Nellies swirl cutting die and Marrianne poinsettia cutting die to make the embellishment.

13 December 2012

Victorian Lady in Gold Christmas Card

I used toppers and sheets from Debbi Moore's craft mag for this card.
I also have the craft CD, but since they had already been printed, it saved me ink :D

I rarely use scenes from the craft CD's so it was a nice change to use one and the lady goes well with it.

I used a spellbinder embossing panel to decorate the gold layer.

8 December 2012

Snowy Cottage Christmas Card

I used a Thomas Kinkade design from a Joanna Sheen craft CD

I decided to go through my craft CD's and use some that I have yet to make into a 3D sheet, so just used it as a single topper.

I used a Cheery Lynn holly corner die for the embellishment, cut out in glitter paper.

Lovely image, so nice to finally get chance to use it

Snowflakes and Hearts Festive Card

I had some toppers from a craft mag, and I used one to make this card.

I combined vintage paper with this modern looking topper

And decorated the edges with a Memory Box holly vine die (in glitter card) and Provocraft snowflake die  (in glitter paper)

Something a little different than the digital work I normally work with.

7 December 2012

Pink Oriental Lady Card

I have a large collection of Oriental lady designs that I have purchased over the years.

This one was a gift from a friend, I love the detail in the outfit

Lovely subtle colours, which I encorporated in the flower embellishment. I made that with Marianne Flower Die

2 December 2012

Snowflake Embossed Festive Card

I wanted to make a card using my embossing folders.

So I used my cutting spellbinder frame dies to make the different layers.
I then used a festive embossing folder on all the layers

Keeping to, two colours - silver and blue, this works quite well

This close up of the embossing, shows how deep that pattern is, gives lovely texture

And I used a different embossing pattern on the snowflakes, that added a bit more texture to the embellishments.

30 November 2012

Indian Lady in Pink Card

This is something a little bit different for me.

It is a Debbi Moore design from one of her craft CD's.  I love the detail in the ladies dress.

I kept this reasonably simple, just a couple of layers cut with my spellbinder frames.
Also used Marianne swirl and butterfly die for the embellishment.

Subtle and simple :D

Hope you crafters are enjoy working with these toppers too

Cute Bears Christmas Card

I got a set of free bear christmas 3D sheets with a craft mag. I used one to make this simple card

I rarely do cute and cuddly cards, as I don't really have much in my stash to cover that theme.
But I do like this design, its ever so sweet.

Will have to see if I can get to use the rest of the sheets this year.

Ive entered this into the - Craft Boots Challenge -Anything goes

23 November 2012

Winter Lady Christmas Card

I used another of my Mocha artwork designs to make this card.

I love all the detail in this image, and it works well as a pyrimid 3D design

I recently got a spellbinder M - Embossing panel. The double sided ones.

I used the half moon pattern on this card, embossing both the cream layer and the rush mirror layer.

I found this embossing panel difficult to use as one side doesn't emboss very well. I did wonder how it could possibly work with two different patterns embedded into one panel.  Its a shame as I do like the patterns available in the range.

21 November 2012

Black and White Cat Christmas Card

I used a Glynn Williams design from a Joanna Sheen craft CD
This is still one of my favourite CD's, I love the artwork.
Very traditional looking, even if it isn't specifically christmas themed.

I love the cat, my Mam had a cat that looked a lot like this when I was little.

I used a Marrianne bauble cutting die for the bell, which swings on the hoops.

Vintage Fashion Lady in Blue - Free Art

Another of the detailed historical fashion designs from my collection

17 November 2012

Poinsettia Christmas Lady Card

I have a selection of Mocha artwork, that I have yet to use. I am still working on a making the designs into 3D sheets.

This one I got sorted recently and was finally able to make it up into a card. I love this Art Nouvue theme.
Lovely colours and detail in this artwork too, and despite it being old, doesn't look dated.

I highlighted the red in the design with the papers and layering and bow

I used a Cheery Lynn, holly die and Marrianne  poinsettia die to make the embellishment, cutting out in vellum.

16 November 2012

Blue Victorian Lady Christmas Cards

I think this design from the Victorian Christmas craft CD by Debbi Moore is my favourite.
Strange how the colour can made such a big difference. I've used the Red version of this, but this blue one I feel is more strike.

I used a Marriane border cutting die, a Provocraft snowflake cutting die, and Cheery Lynn holly cutting die. To make the various embellishments.

I stuck to blue and white too, with colouring , as much as possible.

This card was made with a larger topper, that had a slighly different background.

I liked the larger version, you get to see more detail in the ladies outfit.

I used a X Cut border cutting die and again stuck to cream, white and blue - as much as possible - for this card.

Stunning artwork, which I have very much enjoyed working with.

15 November 2012

Vintage Fashion - Free Art

I have nice collection of historical fashion images, going back to the Tudors age.  So thought I would sort some out to share with other crafters.
This is the first that I will be sharing over the next few weeks

Fan Victorian Christmas Lady Card

This is another design from the Victorian Christmas Craft CD by Debbi Moore
I am so enjoying working with this stunning artwork

Just love the fan, the detail in the dress and fan is wonderfull.

I made the embellishment with the Memory Box holly cutting die and used a Provocraft snowflake die too.

Just a few colours in this card, red, green and gold. Traditional festive colours.

13 November 2012

Black Dress Victorian Lady Christmas Card

This is a design from the Victorian Christmas craft CD by Debbi Moore

I love the detail in the dress, so elegant. I'd love to wear an outfit like this :D

I used one of my embossing panels to add detail to the gold layer.  But other than a bow, I have added little else to this card.

Touch of class :D

12 November 2012

Christmas Snow Rabbits Card

I was watching Autumn Watch on TV this week and loved seeing the wildlife in Scotland.
It inspired me to make this festive rabbit card.

The design is from the Festive Furry Squeeze Card craft cd. Im slowly getting through all the stunning designs on the CD

Wouldnt it just be a treat to see these in your garden at winter

11 November 2012

Christmas Horses Card

I made this card using a Thomas Kinkade design from a Joanna Sheen craft CD

A lot of the designs on the CD are very detailed, so work best as prymid 3D designs.

This is first time I have used this image. I love the house and the detail of the woods behind it. Which of course just begged for glitter.

I used the Cheery Lynn holly cutting die to make the simple embellishment.
Stayed with the blue tones thoroughout the card too, with a touch of silver

Ive entered this into the Joanna Sheen Cold and Crispy Challenge

10 November 2012

Red Victorian Lady Christmas Card

This card was made with a vintage, victorian lady design from the Victorian Christmas Craft CD by Debbi Moore

I decided to use a lot of red on this card. And quite like the contrast of the topper from the rest layering. Really made it stand out for me.

Lovely artwork, just nice detail, especially in the background behind the lady.
And of course I love using elegant lady design. I have made a few cards with the stunning designs from this CD

I'm entering this card into the My Time to Craft Challenge-196-vintage

9 November 2012

Snowy Owl Christmas Card

My love of wildlife inspired me to make this card.
This is a design from a Debbi Moore craft CD.
I didnt get chance to use it last year, which was a shame.

I love owls, they are such pretty birds.

This design is so cool and chrisp too for a winter card.

I used my Provocraft snowflake cutting die to make the embellishments.

8 November 2012

Elegant Christmas Fairy Cards

The fairy artwork by Debbi Moore is stunning and I just had to use more of the characters.

The lilac holly fairy is so nice, love the pose on this one.

I used a Spellbinder border cutting die on the glitter panel with a simple piece of ribbon.

There is glitter on the holly and berries.

The shape of the topper was a problem for me as I dont have any boards or cutting frames in that shape

I love this blue rose fairy from Debbi Moore's fairy collection

It could be a festive card or a birthday card, you could get away using it for any occasion really

The roses are so detailed and begged for glitter

I used a Marriane bauble cutting dies to make the embellishment

The red rose fairy from Debbi Moore's collection is also lovely and could be used for any theme. I think this one though lends itself more to christmas

I used traditional papers with this one, and cut out the pattern with a Spellbinder border die.

The embellishment was made with a Cheery Lynn holly die and ribbon.

With these cards I tried using less colours again, so mostly sticking to the main colour in the topper design and quite like the affect.

5 November 2012

Green Christmas Fairies

I have some stunning artwork from Debbi Moore. Her festive fairy range.

So decided to have some fun and make a few cards with characters.

This one is kinda sassy, love the detail on her dress and hair.

I used glitter card to make the embellishments, cutting them out with my Provocraft snowflake die and Holly Vine Memory Box die.
A green pearl to finish that embellishment off, love the affect

Fairies are probably my favourite fantasy character. Well apart from Dragons. I have a lovely fairy tattoo on my arm, though she isnt as pretty as this lovely design
Again another character by Debbi Moore.  I used a 3D sheet for this card.

I made the embellishment with a Holly Corner die by Cheery Lynn. I havent had it very long, so not had much chance to use the pretty die this year on my cards

I entered these two cards into the - Craftybloggersnetwork- challenge-no-5

2 November 2012

Dreaming of Christmas Lady Card

I like to use magical, fantastical designs and this is definately one of those.

Another Joanna Sheen craft CD, design.  Love the detail in this, a lady dreaming of a traditional christmas.
The detail in this image is stunning. You see so much when you look into it.

Had fun with the embellishments too, used Marianne swirl and snowflake punch. As well as a glittery tree topper I had in my stash.

I have always liked the traditional christmas, but this is both traditional and modern.

30 October 2012

Winter Sledge Card

I made this card from a Debbi Moore craft CD

It's the first time I have used this design, reason being I'm not a big lover of wording on a topper.  This is a 3D design mind, and I liked the way the parcels tubble towards you out of the image.

Again I used a Spellbinder poinsettia cutting die - given in a swap - lovely die, but struggled to use it with a 3D topper, fortunately because this is digital design I could print it out smaller. And I had to layer some of the poinsettia under the parcel layers of the topper.

Worked OK though, and turned out to be an interesting affect.

Ive entered this into the -
Anything Goes - Challenge 79

Black Cherry - Free Art

I so liked the previous fruit design, thought I would do another.  Again the delicate bordering does make it pretty and great for making cards

28 October 2012

Snowflake Lady Card

This card was made from a Joanna Sheen craft CD. I love the detail in this artwork and have used quite a few of the designs from this CD.

Due to the detail, I decided to make the image into a pyrimid design.  And this was made into larger card, as I didnt want to loose too much of the stunning detail.  There is an whole world of things going on in this image.

I envy artists with this tallent, and to have such an imagination much be wonderful.

Again trying to stick to a couple of colours, silver and lilac in this one.

27 October 2012

Large Poinsettia Christmas Card

I did a swap earlier this year with another crafter who had a Spellbinders die - poinsettia one - that I had really wanted to try.

I made this card with the die shapes I recieved, love the detail in this cutting die. However, it is a little bit big for the size of card I normally make (5x7), so I wouldnt be able to combine this die cut with a digital image.

Therefore, I used my clock embossing panel to decorate the rest of the card, and a fancy backing paper.

I quite like the affect for a change.

Ive entered this card into the 52cct.blogspot october-embellishment-challenge

24 October 2012

Winter Badgers Card

I got a couple of winter Squeeze Card craft CD's last year and was determined to use more of the stunning designs for this winter.

I love wildlife. Despite living in a semi rural area, I find the wildlife pretty illusive.  It would be wonderful to see Badgers in the wild :D

I loved this design as soon as I saw it. Stunning detail, added a little bit of glitter to those berries.

I decided to keep this simple, not adding too many extra embellishments to distract from the design.

23 October 2012

Red Cherry - Free Art

Something a little different, fruit!  I have a few nice fruit design in my collection, though it was time I used them.
Looks quite nice with a detailed framing design

Blue Church Christmas Card

WOW I've gone over 100,000 views on my blog. I am thrilled, thank you all that visit my blog and leave comments.

I have a collection of craft cd's that I got from Debbi Moore that are vintage designs.

This silent night design is very festive in the crisp cool colours.
Something about blue and white, with snow, that always makes me feel festive and that clean untouched snow scene. The one that is there when you first see freshly fallen snow before we all go out and play in it :D

I made this lovely design into a 3D sheet, with a little glitter it looks cool and festive.

Again, I have dozens of festive and everyday images that I have yet to make into 3D sheets and use.  Just not enough hours in a day and not enough cards required to make
Im also working on using less colours in a card, and quite liking the affect

I have entered this card into Fussy and Fancy Challenge-74
and Deep Ocean Challenge challenge-36

20 October 2012

Victorian Christmas Shopping Card

I do like the traditional street look for christmas cards.  This is one of the design from a Squeeze craft CD
The detail is lovely, and I find little things of interest everytime I look at this card.  Scenes like this remind me of Dickensian stories, and it is the only time I like that kind of story - such as Christmas Carol :D

I think it would be lovely to dress up in Victorian outfits and go to a Christmas market, with snow and old fashioned street.  It would feel so festive.

I used a Memory Box holly vine cutting die to make the embellishment, with a couple of glitter snowflakes.

Lots of glitter went on the snow of the design, though as usual doesnt show well in a photo

19 October 2012

Winter Gold Art Deco Lady Card

I am attracted to elegant lady designs because I love the fashion of bygone days, they really knew how to look glam.
I have a lot of lovely Art Deco lady designs on craft CD's by Debbi Moore. And sometimes I just have to use them for christmas cards, even though they aren't specifically that theme.

This design has a lovely fur coat as part of the dress, so works really well for a christmas card.

And I got to use one of my embossing panels, which is always a treat. I made the snowflakes with my Provocraft snowflake cutting die.

17 October 2012

Angel Joy Christmas Card

I made this 3D design from one of the detailed designs I purchased from Dover Art.
I have so many of these designs all ready to be printed and cut out, and as yet not used everyone one of them.

I tend not to use designs that are more cartoon like, but this one I think is detailed enough for me. I like detailed art, I love the affect of you finding the little things in an image.

This has a nice modern feel, lovely detail in the dress that just begged for glitter to be added.

16 October 2012

Pleate Dress Lady - Free Art

I love elegant lady designs, and thought this one would make a lovely card.  Again made my own bordering to compliment the image

Click on image for larger version and save to PC

13 October 2012

Vintage Blue Car Card

I think vintage cars look more interesting than modern ones.
Cars these days all look the same!

I made this card with a design from Debbi Moore's Cards for Men craft CD

The lampost is a Marianne cutting die, I got it to use on male cards, and already found it very usefull.

This design would be great for festive cards and also for weddings.

12 October 2012

Egyptian Lady Card

Years ago I went to Egypt on holiday. Unfortunately I became ill and this has left me with a chronic condition, I so wish I'd stuck to watching documentaries on TV
However, I still remember how in awe I was of the buildings and history of the place.  So when I got an Egyptian craft CD, it was a treat.
This design is from a Debbi Moore craft CD. One of those that again, I had meant to get around to using right away, but not got chance to do so.

I only have so many cards I need to make and it is so hard to choose from the hundreds of lovely designs, what to make up.

I used a Marianne border cutting die on this card.  I have a few nice border dies now, just trying to find ways to use them

11 October 2012

My Fair Lady Anniversary Card

One of my favourite craft CD's is the My Fair Lady one by Debbi Moore.
I love the dresses and artwork. And some of the couples are so nice for wedding and anniversary cards

I used the couple with the lady in a cream dress for this card.  Doesnt show very well but the base card is embossed and organza bow and flowers  to finish.
